In order to further strengthen the construction of the youth teaching team, leverage the mentoring role of key teachers, consolidate the professional foundation of young teachers in their respective disciplines, and enhance their classroom teaching and problem-solving practical abilities, recently, our Senior High School Department held a grand ceremony for the pairing of "mentor and apprentice" and a combined activity of the youth teacher problem-solving competition. With the focus on "passing on experience through pairing and training skills through competition", this initiative aims to facilitate the rapid growth of young teachers and build a high-quality teaching team.
First and foremost, on September 11th, the Senior High School Department officially launched the "Qinglan Project" mentorship pairing for this semester during a meeting of all teachers, simultaneously initiating a mentoring program connecting new and experienced homeroom teachers. In the meantime, appointment letters were presented to each mentor and homeroom teacher advisor, formalizing their mentor-mentee relationships. Experienced teachers, serving as the "mentors," will provide comprehensive guidance to young teachers in lesson planning, teaching and research, classroom instruction, assignment design, and student assessment analysis. Also, senior homeroom teachers will leverage their expertise to guide new homeroom teachers in class management, moral education, and home-school communication, helping them enhance their educational capabilities. On the other hand, young teachers, as the "apprentices," will humbly seek advice, study diligently, and reflect actively, refining their teaching fundamentals under the guidance of senior colleagues and accelerating their professional development. Moreover, new homeroom teachers will carefully learn from experienced educators, honing their skills in classroom management and moral education.
Furthermore, problem-solving ability is the core basic skill of a teacher and is the foundation for precise teaching and efficient student guidance. Thus, on August 28th, the Senior High School Department specially held a young teachers' problem-solving competition, which closely followed the curriculum standards and the key points of the College Entrance Examination, focusing on the key and difficult points of teaching, and examining teachers' knowledge reserves, problem-solving thinking and professional abilities. Additionally, the event was organized in a standardized and fair manner, with the participating teachers responding calmly and answering questions meticulously, thus fully demonstrating the solid professional foundation and good professional demeanor of young teachers.
Last but not the least, after the competition, the Senior High School Department awarded prizes based on the participants' performance and presented them at the faculty assembly. In the future, the Senior High School Department will continue to hold such activities to help young teachers deepen their subject knowledge and hone their teaching skills, guiding teachers to identify their shortcomings in the competitions and improve through review and reflection, and transforming their solid professional foundation into effective classroom teaching results.
In conclusion, blue and green blend together, with the torch passed down from generation to generation; through competitions, we are empowered; and by taking firm actions, we achieve far-reaching goals. More remarkably, this series of activities has further improved the training system for young teachers and strengthened the foundation of our school's teacher development. In the future, the Senior High School Department will continue to deepen teaching research, regularly promote the Qinglan project construction, and continuously enhance the professional quality of the teaching staff so as to empower the high-quality development of school education and teaching with high-quality teachers.
